
Erika Lesher
EMS Instructor
Erika Lesher serves as a Firefighter/Paramedic with the Elyria Township Fire Department and a Medic with Avon Cleveland Clinic, bringing dedication and compassion to every call she answers. She also contributes to EMS education, helping teach new medics and sharing her passion for the field. Erika finds joy in helping others discover their love for emergency medicine while keeping her own skills sharp in an ever-evolving profession. Her commitment to lifelong learning continues as she pursues her Registered Nursing degree, expanding her ability to care for patients in new ways.
Originally from Elyria and now residing in Lorain, Erika’s educational journey reflects her drive and creativity. She earned her EMT and Paramedic certifications from LifeCare Training Academy, completed Fire training at Tri-C, and holds an Associate’s degree in both Art and Fire Science from Lorain County Community College. She began her career in 2015 with the Elyria Township Fire Department, became a Paramedic in 2018, and is on track to achieve her RN in 2026.
Erika’s love for helping others is at the core of everything she does. She’s passionate about medicine, teaching, and the teamwork that defines emergency services. Outside of her professional life, Erika enjoys spending time with her husband and their dogs, playing video games, and exploring her creative side through art. She also loves traveling to places where the ocean meets the mountains—a perfect reflection of her balance between adventure and serenity.
