COURSE SUMMARY
The EMR Refresher Course provides an in-depth review of the fundamental responsibilities and skills required of an Emergency Medical Responder. The course focuses on reinforcing patient assessment techniques, basic life support, airway management, bleeding control, and the management of common medical and traumatic emergencies. Emphasis is placed on rapid decision-making, scene safety, and delivering immediate care during the critical first moments of an emergency. Through structured instruction and skills practice, students will revisit the foundational principles that support safe and effective patient care.
Course Requirements
Minimum age 18+ (per state rules) and government-issued photo ID
High-school diploma/GED (or proof of current enrollment)
Ability to kneel and lift 50 lb
Criminal-background check (state EMS mandate)
Full tuition paid or employer-sponsored paperwork submitted before first class
