Jeremiah Escajeda

Medical Director, MD, FAEMS, FACEP

Dr. Jeremiah Escajeda is board-certified in both Emergency Medicine and Emergency Medical Services. He serves as the EMS Medical Director for several area EMS agencies, including Donald Martens and Kelley’s Island EMS. Dr. Escajeda works as an Emergency Medicine physician at MetroHealth Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, and is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He currently serves as the Program Director for the MetroHealth EMS Fellowship and holds various EMS-related leadership roles within the MetroHealth system.

Originally from Pittsburgh, Dr. Escajeda earned his medical degree from Penn State College of Medicine. He completed his Emergency Medicine residency and subsequent EMS fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh/UPMC. Before relocating to Cleveland in 2020, he worked in the Pittsburgh area as an EMS Medical Director.

Dr. Escajeda is actively involved in the National Association of EMS Physicians (NAEMSP), where he currently serves as Vice President of the Ohio Chapter and formerly chaired the national Education Committee. He is also the Co-Host of the Prehospital Care (PEC) Journal Podcast and is passionate about advancing EMS education.
