

Christopher Kowalczyk
Assistant Program Director, BS Ed., Paramedic, FESI-II
Chris Kowalczyk serves as the Assistant Program Director for Premier Health and Safety Academy, where he plays a key role in shaping the next generation of EMS professionals. He instructs EMR, EMT, and Paramedic courses, as well as American Heart Association certifications, focusing on developing confident, skilled, and compassionate providers. Chris finds great fulfillment in preparing students for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) exam and witnessing their sense of accomplishment when they achieve certification after months of dedication and hard work.
Chris holds a Paramedic Certificate from Cuyahoga Community College (TRI-C, 1997), a Bachelor of Science in Education from Cleveland State University (2007), and earned his Fire and Emergency Service Instructor (FESI-II) certification in 2023. Over his career, he has served with Donald Martens Ambulance, the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, and MetroHealth Medical Center, building a wealth of experience in both field operations and classroom instruction.
Motivated by the need for highly professional Paramedics who provide exceptional patient care, Chris is committed to fostering excellence and leadership in the EMS community. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys vacationing with family, camping, and cheering for all Cleveland sports. He’s also passionate about softball and enjoys helping his wife care for their two miniature horses—a reflection of his patient, dedicated nature both in and out of the classroom.
