COURSE SUMMARY
The Paramedic Refresher Course is designed for Paramedics who need to renew certification or revalidate advanced-level skills. This intensive program provides an in-depth review of ALS care, including cardiology, ECG interpretation, airway management, medication administration, trauma care, medical emergencies, and Ohio protocol updates. Students participate in high-fidelity scenarios, hands-on skill labs, and structured review sessions designed to reinforce clinical reasoning and confidence.
PHSA’s instructors are active field paramedics and EMS leaders, providing real-world insight, updated practices, and a focus on patient-centered critical care. This course meets the continuing education requirements for Ohio Paramedic renewal and is ideal preparation for NREMT Paramedic cognitive or psychomotor retesting.
Course Requirements
Current or recently expired Paramedic certification
Must complete all hands-on ALS skills
Strongly recommended: current CPR/ACLS/PALS (or renew during training)
Must attend all scheduled sessions
